Monthly Transparency briefing has not stopped- Information Commissioner, urges Bayelsans not to play politics with everything

Yes, the Prosperity Government inherited the Transparency briefing from the Restoration Government, and our fidelity as a government to that policy has never waivered any day, but recently, some mischievous people have started raising issues that the Transparency briefing is no more being held, and we just begin to wonder if such persons are really in this State, or if they hold this State dearly in their hearts.
We do this, not because we want to please anybody, but because we feel that the people that we are holding their common wealth in trust for, must know what we are doing with the funds that are accruable to government.
I want to call on everybody not to play politics with everything because there are certain facts and figures that are clean, clear and crystal for everybody to see.”
Hon. Ayibaina Duba, Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, speaking at the Transparency briefing for the months of July and August which was handled by the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai at the Treasury Building in Yenagoa.
